The Official Internet Press Secretary
Every story on this site is addressed to a person, by name. We send them wherever the addressee is. Nobody is pretending otherwise.
We wrote down the editorial rules this paper holds itself to — no money, truth before drafting, the open letter, who we name and how, and the rest. Not as a brand. As a thing another newsroom can read and take.
If one line of it makes your paper harder to buy or kinder to the people it writes about, it is yours. Read The Standard → Steal these.

My name is Michael. I write this publication. First name is all you get — not because I am hiding, but because the work does not need a face to do what it does, and I would rather you weigh the letter than the man. Spotlight Dispatch is published by I am Easy to Use LLC.
I name the target. I pick the register. I sign the letter. Nothing ships that I have not decided. I built this site with AI tools — they help me write fast and build pages I could not build alone — but the angle, the receipts, and the byline are mine. Every published word ran through me first. That is the only arrangement that keeps a byline honest.
The publication runs in three modes. The attack letter — Dear [named recipient] — opens with a list of contempt earned on the public record: the NRA, Cruz, Wyden and Graham in the same paragraph, Altman, Musk, Bhutani. The morning file at /45047, addressed to one specific reader, written under the same standard regardless of which side of the aisle the receipts cut. The solidarity letter, used rarely and carefully, when somebody else is fighting the same wall and deserves a public-record receipt that they got it right.
No email captured. No personal data. No paywall. No investors. No PAC money. No federal money. No donation tail back to me. The storefront is closed. My influence is not for sale, in any direction. That is the only credential this publication has, and the only one it needs. Every page on the site was written under that constraint, and every page can be read with that disclosure already in hand.
